CAMPUS NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

I was the Primary Editor for Campus News and Announcements 2014-2018. In “Download Your Free All-Athletics Pass” story below, I wrote the News item below, created the QR code, wrote instructions to download pass. Announcement was also emailed to employees and students, promoted on internal TV screens. Objective was met with ticketing agents at opening game reporting 95% of attendees eligible for their free pass had downloaded it by the time they arrived at the gate!

CALENDAR OF EVENTS

SVSU has hundreds of events ranging from cultural events to athletic contests available for the campus community and the public to attend. The same software used by The Conference Center to reserve a “room” for an event can also output these same events on webpages. From 2009-2018, I used the Calendar of Events to better inform the campus community of events to increase attendance and improve student retention. Utilizing this system also eliminated duplication of work (event information entered only in one system, not in two separate areas), and helped to ensure webpages had the most up-to-date information.
